Latin America. Axis Communications was named one of the "Best Places to Work" in the annual awards program given by the Boston Business Journal. It is an honor that recognizes Axis' achievements in creating a positive work environment to attract and retain applicants, through a combination of satisfaction, working conditions, benefit programs, and organizational culture.
Axis was one of more than 400 companies that qualified to be considered in a nomination based on a two-stage process and the results of the employee satisfaction survey taken in the months of March and April. Of the 400 nominees, 80 winning companies – the Top 25 of each type of company by size, plus the Top 5 in a new category called "PR/Communications", will be awarded this annual honor during an event held on June 13 at the iconic Wang Theatre city center and will appear in a special supplement to the Boston Business Journal on June 14.

The survey project was launched in January by the Boston Business Journal in conjunction with a market study conducted by Omaha, Nebraska-based firm Quantum Workplace. The companies were evaluated with the result of more than 18,000 job satisfaction surveys. Employees answered questionnaires aimed at factors such as "pride in the company, incentives in the company, support and recognition of achievements, relationships with supervisors and co-workers. The results were analyzed and schematized by assigning percentages to each question.
