Mexico. In the coming months, there will be around 1,200 surveillance cameras in Tijuana, as announced by the Secretary of Municipal Public Security, Alberto Capella.
He said that the cameras will be installed in the most conflictive points of the city, such as the East Zone.
"We are going to triple the surveillance that is currently in the city, already with the new agreement that Mayor Carlos Bustamante achieved in a favorable way for the interests of Tijuana, and this will materialize in the coming months in the remainder of the Administration," he said.
He noted that in the city there are currently 400 cameras watching.
"That will alleviate the work of police presence and action, to make the arrests faster, over the weekend we had a success of 80% of detainees, it is unprecedented, it is a very high amount, hopefully we achieved 100%, the ghost of impunity that existed many years ago here in the city was overcome," Concluded.
