Colombia. The Mayor's Office of Floridablanca, Santander, announced that it will open the tender to acquire 60 cameras in order to reinforce security for citizens.
In this regard, the mayor of Floridablanca, Néstor Díaz assured that these equipment will be acquired after signing an agreement with the Government of Santander and will contribute to ensuring the safety of the inhabitants of Floridablanca.
On the other hand, through a press release the Floridablanca Administration reported that with the support of the National Police and some civic leaders they are leading a campaign to improve security indexes in the town.
"For more than a month we have been strengthening the alliance between citizens and the authorities, we have met in the last week with the Community Action Boards of three neighborhoods and we are ready to execute a project of $ 150 million pesos (about US $ 84,000) to improve and install new equipment that will give a hand to the Security Fronts of the northeastern sector, "- explained the Secretary of the Interior of Floridablanca.
