Colombia. Belden emphasizes its responsibility to the environment, providing solutions that ultimately reduce energy consumption as well as the investment of companies that implement structured cabling solutions.
For Belden, within the IT industry there are basically three ways to be green: at the plant level, from the point of view of product manufacturing and within its system.
At the plant level, it refers to all product manufacturing processes generated by the end user; that is, that they are efficient and ecologically sound, both in planning and in practice, reducing waste, recycling materials and using technologies that efficiently manage the energy of the facilities, with solar panels, for example.
From the point of view of the product, being ecological or "green" refers to the materials with which the product is manufactured, for example, the components restricted because they are considered hazardous substances, such as lead, cadmium or mercury. Even, caution at the time of packaging or the selection of the material with which the product is transported to make it reach the end user, must be careful mechanisms with the environment, in order to avoid generating unnecessary waste and harmful to the ecosystem.
And finally, when Belden breaks into the planning and management of the end-user system, it protects its customers' investment by implementing systems that help them improve energy efficiency, support them in the sustainability of their company and in the reduction of waste.
Thus, thinking green about those three levels, are efforts that not only manufacturers like Belden must contemplate, but all those entrepreneurs who seek to save energy, inputs and above all budget; that at the end of the day will grant them recognition for carrying out social responsibility processes for a greater impact on the global level.
