Korea's EMCcompliance Ltd. has confirmed that Samsung's 31 cameras and domes are robust enough to meet the requirements of IK-10 certification, which encompasses european test standards IEC 62262 and IEC 60068-2-75 related to the devices' ability to withstand external shocks.
"This is an important milestone for Samsung," said Peter Ainsworth, Senior Product Manager at SamsungTechwin Europe Ltd, adding that "Only a few manufacturers have been prepared to subject all their major products to rigorous testing in order to obtain confirmation that they meet the required standard. Our customers are guaranteed that our vandal-proof cameras and domes meet the purpose for which they are manufactured, as they are reasonably priced and incorporate advanced technologies, most of which are unique to Samsung."
