Peru. The municipality of Ate installed surveillance cameras on the front of the Monumental stadium. These cameras will serve to identify and prevent violent actions that put at risk the safety and integrity of neighbors.
The Municipality of Ate installed 70 video surveillance cameras, explained Oscar Benavides, mayor of the municipality: "Now the barras bravas that used to leave the Monumental Stadium of Ate to break and encourage violence in the homes located in the vicinity of the sports venue, Prolongación Javier Prado will be recorded and then proceed to the respective complaint, " Expressed.
The commune of Ate invested seven million soles (US$2.3 million) in the installation of more than one hundred video surveillance cameras distributed in the main streets and avenues at the request of the population, as well as the implementation of tetra radios for the Serenazgo that now has GPS.
In this first stage it has culminated with the installation of the first 70 video surveillance cameras, for the second stage it is planned the operation of another 40 cameras where it will be possible to monitor 24 hours areas such as Huaycan.
