Argentina. The Argentine province will receive international funding for the installation of more security cameras. The loan will be US$8 million. The cameras will be installed in Capital, Guaymallén, Godoy Cruz, Las Heras, Luján and Maipú. It was signed with the International Development Bank of Metropolitan Areas of the Interior.
The loan, which will be taken by the Nation and will go down to the Province as a subsidy. "The objective of the program is to contribute to improving the quality of life and competitiveness of the province, promoting the implementation of innovative management mechanisms for the execution of programs and projects related to citizen security," said the Ministry of Security, Carlos Aranda, through a press release.
"This funding will allow the training of officials from the municipal security areas, the formation of an Intermunicipal Metropolitan Council for Citizen Security, organization of associative practices and a metropolitan security agenda," the document adds.
