Latin America. Tyco Security Products, one of the leading companies in video surveillance, access control and intrusion, recently organized in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, its 2012 Latin American and Caribbean Customer Meeting, three days of information and recognition to its customers in the region.
This year's invitation-only event was held at Dreams Palm Beach, and offered attendees the opportunity to learn about new product launches, technology development and Tyco Security Products' plans for the future.
This year's edition was expanded to include customers of the Visonic brand of intrusion products, acquired by Tyco Security Products the previous year. Nearly 100 customers of access control, video systems and intrusion attended the event.
"Every year we look forward to the opportunity to connect face-to-face with our business partners throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, to update them on our new releases and offer them the opportunity to connect with their colleagues in the industry," said Carlos Mecca, director of sales for Latin America at Tyco Security Products. "This year's event was one of the best attended and gave us the opportunity to introduce our integrating partners to the new additions from the Tyco Security Products family: Visonic and Elpas."
As part of the meeting, attendees participated in various training sessions that presented an overview of the latest product developments in the American Dynamics, Kantech, Software House, DSC and Visonic brands. The event also provided attendees with an introduction to Elpas, which offers security solutions for real-time installations by RFID.
The meeting also included presentations by several senior executives of Tyco Security Products, including David Grinstead, VP of International Sales; Linda Mansillo Kear, senior director of global communications and marketing; Steven Lewis for the Software House brand; and Leon Langlais for intrusion brands.
