International. The growth of the market for cameras designed to be used in public transport facilities has driven the investment of major security companies in this segment. This is the case of Vivotek, a company that recently unveiled its offer of dome cameras for this type of applications.
Company spokespersons explained that the series of mobile domes composed of the models MD7530, MD7560 and MD8562 has been positioned in this segment with the participation of the company in transport projects carried out in countries such as Brazil, China, Czech Republic, France Hong Kong, and Spain.
"All Viviotek mobile domes include EN50155 compatibility and IP67 qualified design, allowing the cameras to withstand shock, vibration, humidity, dust, and temperature fluctuations, keeping the video stable and reliable during vehicle movement," the company explained.
They also referenced the latest report by IMS Research, which states that the market for network cameras in trains and trams is expected to grow by 20% in the next 5 years. Likewise, the transition from analog video surveillance equipment to network video is also budgeted to grow by about 7%.
