Mexico. As recently reported by the coordinator of the Control, Command, Communications and Computing Center (C-4), Tonatiuh Valdespino, it is very possible that this year video surveillance will increase in Tulancingo and Pachuca. This in order to continue increasing safety standards in these cities.
These tools serve not only to prevent crimes and accidents, but also to monitor vehicular traffic on the main communication routes, the official said.
The coordinator of the C-4, an agency that depends on the State Public Security Secretariat, said that in Pachuca there are currently 16 high-tech devices that rotate 360 degrees and have a range of up to a thousand meters for approaches.
He said that these sophisticated systems are regularly maintained because, due to intensive use, they sometimes deteriorate.
He reported that he has a project in order to expand the structure in Tulancingo, the same in Pachuca, where between two and three additional systems would be placed.
In Tulancingo there are 18 devices and it is intended to significantly increase the quantity. He also stressed that with the help of the cameras, greater coordination is achieved for cases of persecution.
"Public safety is constantly being improved in Pachuca and Tulancingo. That is why it will be very important that this year the team could be increased in both locations," concluded Valdespino.
