The theme of this year's Congress will be "Globalization and Security: Challenges and Opportunities in Security vs. FTAs", where national and foreign experts will analyze the challenges that Colombia has to overcome in terms of legislation, legal stability, productivity and competitiveness.
International protocols for safe trade, security in exports and imports, protection of trademarks and patents, threats and vulnerabilities of different economic sectors and the universe of risks from phytosanitary to transnational counterfeiting and electronic fraud, among many other topics, will also be treated by specialized authorities and analysts.
"Security entrepreneurs will be able to visualize the opportunities that new markets and the increase in consumers will bring for their businesses, both in Colombia and in the international concert," said Germán Duque Morales, CPP and president of ASIS Chapter 225 – Colombia, who also added that "we are sure that these issues will bring together all the unions, businessmen, industrialists, national authorities, members of the Public Force and, of course, businessmen and security professionals."
