Central America. After its relationship in countries such as Colombia and Ecuador, Nexsys becomes Symantec's new VAD (Value Added Distributor) for Central America. Initially, the distribution will concentrate on the products of the Endpoint Protection Suite, Backup Exec and Net Backup of the American firm.
For Gabriela Salazar, general manager of Nexsys in Central America and the Caribbean, "this union is a vital commitment for us, because thanks to our added value we have become a key player in the positioning of the solutions offered by the most important IT companies".
Following the agreement, Nexsys will market Symantec's open security and availability solutions to Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama and Nicaragua.
Thus, "in a market that experts recognize as consolidated and mature in technology issues, computer security has evolved and this concept has been transformed and goes beyond antivirus. Now companies are looking for perimeter security for their data through comprehensive solutions and that's where our support as a wholesaler lies," Salazar added.
