Chile. The rescue of the Chilean miners carried out on October 12 was monitored in its entirety through a fixed camera installed inside the "Fénix 2" capsule, in order to monitor the mood of those rescued and prevent any sign of panic in them. The camera chosen for this work was Vivotek's FD8134 dome IP camera, which due to its infrared night vision function allowed rescuers on the surface of the San José mine to monitor in real time the conditions around and inside the capsule, during the descents and ascents of it.
This camera has a resolution of 1280x800 at 30 fps and uses H.264 compression technology, allowing a clear view of the rescue environment, despite the limited bandwidth conditions at the site.
