He added that despite the economic slowdown, Hikvision continues to be the largest provider of DVR products by revenue in 2009, calling it "impressive for a company that has been active in the market for less than 10 years."
This year, Hikvision jumped to fifth place as a manufacturer of CCTV products in its category, after having placed ninth in 2009, demonstrating "the ability of the company to have become a net supplier of video surveillance systems to customers who have helped transmit our voice around the world", said Polo Cai, vice president of the company.
