United States. At ISC West 2009, Honeywell presented the session "Expanding the role of central stations through remote control of services" which began with the presentation of John Smith, general manager of marketing of the company. On this occasion, Smith showed how distributors and central stations can use remote service administration to manage all aspects of their customers' access controls.Attendees learned how to generate monthly recurring revenue (RMR) by creating security solutions that can help customers streamline business processes as well as protect their facilities. Additionally, they also learned how remotely managed services can enable distributors to simplify operations and eliminate inefficiencies for both their internal staff and end users.
This presentation described the end-user benefits of accessing the web. With this option, the consumer can access a secure website and perform functions, such as adding or removing cards and basic operation, such as case reports and the story card. The distributor, meanwhile, offers a full range of functionality to generate more detailed reports, update software or change door schedules.
