The Vancouver Organizing Committee (VANOC) for the 2010 Winter Olympics designated Garret Metal Detectors as the official distributor of metal detection security products, which will provide 1,650 products, including 550 walkthroughs and 1,100 hand-held metal detectors.In 1984, Garret Metal Detectors was part of the Olympic Games that were held in Los Angeles with its products. Henry Tellez, vice president of international marketing and sales for Garrett Metal Detectors, says the company is proud to work with VANOC and provide a safe environment for winter game athletes, officials and spectators.
