Colombia. The taxi drivers' union in Bogotá, capital of Colombia, has signed a security agreement with the District Administration that seeks to reduce the acts of violence that constantly occur in this type of vehicle, more frequently at night. The agreement is based on installing security cameras inside public service vehicles which will be monitored by the corresponding authorities from a control room. Another purpose of this agreement is to know the way in which bands outside the law operate inside taxis.
The companies that manage this class of vehicles will thus consolidate a support network based on technology and for this they will train taxi drivers to learn how to act during a violent event inside their car or in that of a colleague.
