IP technology is not only encompassing the world of computing, today thousands of industries rely on it to work, and the electronic security sector is no exception. For some years the trend is to involve the IP world in the daily life of protection systems, a reality that became more than evident in the last version of ISC West in Las Vegas, where the issue was present not only in the security solutions that were shown in the stands of the different companies, but also in educational activities.The IP concept can not only modify the operation of the equipment but also the conception of them, since thousands of systems currently run on cabling networks that allow these solutions to be monitored from any computer. The direction of the industry is very clear, all systems are migrating to IP technology, it could be said that today 80% of large projects are moving from analogues to IP.
In Latin America, the participation of these new systems is strong and their development continues gradually. According to professionals, the region is positively adopting IP solutions, also because every day there is greater awareness of the importance of protection and the issue of computing is not far from this trend.
Another factor that is influencing the immersion of IP-based security systems is education, which not only seeks to train integrators, distributors and installers in the industry but also end users, who ultimately use the solutions.
