Argentina, a country where security is enhanced

After the attacks of the Twin Towers, or the means of transport in Spain and London, and adding the high rate of insecurity and crime that is referenced around the world, the electronic security sector has been growing in terms of production, sale and installation of technologies and systems that provide protection. Although it is not remarkable that insecurity is the reason why the sector moves, it should be noted that this (security), is one of the industries where more investments and developments have occurred in recent years, and Latin America is no stranger to it.

In countries such as Venezuela, Panama, Chile, Peru, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina, the demand for security services has increased considerably in the last three years.

This fact is reflected in the hundreds of security projects that are carried out in the region, as well as in the security contests, where integrators, professionals and manufacturers of the sector meet not only to expose the new, but to exchange knowledge, as it is expected to happen in Seguriexpo BISEC 2008, which will be held from August 13 to 15, 2008 at La Rural Predio Ferial, in Buenos Aires.

In Argentina, the comprehensive security sector  grew 15% above the country's economy, and the business of this industry is expanding, so much so that Argentina seeks to position itself as the market gateway for the entire region.

Aspects such as the demand for security products and the knowledge possessed by Argentine professionals make it possible for the country to be identified as the largest exporter of knowledge, as well as security products among which parking software, personnel control clocks, sirens, windlasses for access control and intrusion detection centers stand out, among others.

In the same way, the local production of inputs that are favored by low labor costs has been encouraged, although there is a percentage of 75% in import of CCTV component and fire detection.

These factors will be exposed and reflected in Seguriexpo BISEC Buenos Aires 2008, where the 12,000 visitors will connect with the novelties in terms of integral security products and services that will be in the 13,000 m2, where more than 180 companies in the sector will participate. It will be the ideal environment to conduct business, establish new business relationships, update and hold business meetings.

The exhibition will be divided into three main groups: Safety, Security and Fire that group electronic, physical, computer, road safety, monitoring service and GPS, cards, firefighting, industrial safety and personal protection, environmental protection, as well as occupational health and safety.

Likewise, participants will be able to train with the III Technical Congress of Total Security that will deal with issues related to Safety, Security and Fire and will last three days.

Seguriexpo BISEC 2008 is organized by the Argentine Chamber of Electronic Security (CASEL), the Argentine Chamber of Security (CAS), the Argentine Institute of Standardization and  Certification (IRAM) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
