Security Atlas assured management of Colombian fashion firm Studio F, and for this edition brings us all the details of this intervention.
Studio F, a fashion design and tailoring company from Colombia, adopted a modern monitoring security system. Security, sales, advertising and space usage are managed with the VRM solution.
Atlas Tecnológica, Atlas Ltda. Security division, implemented a new solution called VRM for Studio F; Colombian company dedicated to the design, manufacture and marketing of women's clothing and accessories.
The VRM (Virtual Retail Management) offers the possibility of supervising from a central office (with the connectivity of different mobile and fixed cameras), the attention to the public, the personal presentation of the employees, the optimization of the space, the surveillance of the visual marketing, the management of brands, the fulfillment of corporate policies, the reduction of thefts and the optimization of the storage in warehouses.
Studio F, through this new solution, has achieved greater synergy in all its processes, reducing costs and times. Thus, it was able to comply with the evaluation policies of the different areas, in addition to acquiring a surveillance system against theft.
Characteristics of the project
The solution that the commercial sector of Atlas Tecnológica allowed to reach the maximum potential of Studio F, a company for which customer service and efficiency in operations are key elements of its success.
The solution included a digital recorder for eight cameras, three fixed cameras and a mobile camera. In addition to the implementation of remote camera monitoring that includes 110 stores in Colombia, three in Mexico, five in Panama and one store in Guayaquil (Ecuador). All are monitored from the main office in Cali (Colombia).
This solution allows the monitoring of stores from anywhere in the world through the Internet, which streamlines decision-making by managers and process managers, without having to travel to the different warehouses, reducing costs and time.
The most interesting thing is that it provides information to fine-tune promotional and marketing campaigns, support market research studies and customer behavior. Thus allowing the effectiveness and return on investment of this project to be increased.
This is achieved by connecting the video surveillance equipment to the Internet channels that are available in each of the stores to be monitored, then the video information is transmitted through the LAN or WAN network to a central management point.
In places where there are no dedicated links, it is accessed over the Internet with fixed public IP addresses allowing centralized administration with full geographical coverage.
The success of the use of recorders with state-of-the-art compression formats allows the optimization of bandwidths or Internet channels, regulating data traffic so as not to hinder the transmission of normal information of the operation of the store, that is, access to inventories or online invoicing is not hindered.
In the same way, it allows greater storage time on hard drives while keeping a historical record of the events or claims that occurred in the store.
