Here we are and we stay even closer

Greeting the security industry from this editorial is a pleasure for me. Once again I meet you through these pages to share a little of the sector that unites us more and more every day.

Many of you know who I am, but for those who don't know me I introduce myself: I'm Ana María Restrepo, editor-in-chief of SECURITY SALES and I've been immersed in the industry, as a journalist and deputy editor of the publication since 2007. Next to me will be Santiago Jaramillo, who serves as sub-editor.

Since I started writing in the magazine I liked the subject, I learned about the operation of a camera, an access control, a conventional or directional detector, or an intrusion alarm and I can assure you that when I see one of these systems I detail the brand, I think about what technology it has and whoever is next to me I talk about this.

Today I can tell you that both I and SECURITY SALES, with you and the industry we have changed, evolved and learned even more. The innovations, new developments and technologies that manufacturers have presented are the factors that drive the sector and I am sure that in 2011 events such as ISC West and Expo Seguridad Mexico will be the perfect showcases for all of us to show that evolution.

We, for our part, remain firm in the purpose of accompanying the Electronic Security industry at any time, so I invite you to participate in our forums, where many actors in the sector exchange knowledge, doubts, experiences, technologies and above all help their colleagues in solving problems.

This year, like everyone, we will continue to be an active part of the industry and be closer to you. Find us on Facebook as Security Sales and on Twitter as Security Sales.
