Arecont Vision
Arecont Vision announces its new Megaball 2 series, which provides wide area coverage at a significantly low cost. This new model comes with an ImmerVision panomorphic lens that can capture 180º and 360º fields of view with no distortion to provide an angular resolution of up to 4X in peripheral areas of a scene in relation to conventional "fisheye" lenses.
The new MegaBall 2 camera is a 5-megapixel camera in a sabotage-resistant housing. Features include day and night mode, dual H.264 (MPEG-4 Part 10)/MJPEG encoders, privacy mask, extended motion detection with 1024 motion detection zones, flexible cropping to adjust image sizes, and the ability to select PoE (Power over Ethernet) power supply or an external power supply.
Integrated cable management and three-axis adjustment make installation easy; they are available in wall-mount, surface and recessed ceiling configurations with housings in the colours grey-light and black.
