Samsung's cameras will be able to be easily integrated with Mirasys' video management software (VMS), the company announced.
Among the virtues of this software are its ability to receive images, simultaneously, from both analog cameras and IP cameras. In addition, its open architecture allows it to be compatible with the H.264 compression method, as well as to work on hundreds of servers and an unlimited number of fixed and mobile workstations, through a browser.
The integration between Mirasys and Samsung systems will allow users to control several of the features of network cameras, including automatic camera detection, PTZ control, two-way sound, alarm input/output, motion detection, infrared LEDs, on/off control, and time synchronization.
Among the reasons for the integration of Samsung cameras with this management system, the company's executives explained that for them it is an obligation to offer customers the flexibility to choose the perfect combination in security products that meet their specific needs.
"We want to help customers find a gradual transition from their current video surveillance solution to one hundred percent IP. Our integration with Mirasys is part of an ongoing program to integrate with leading independent software vendors, who can offer open software specifically designed to facilitate the integration of equipment and systems from different manufacturers," said Tim Biddulph, IP Product Manager at Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd.
