Quantum announced the update of its data management system, it is StorNext Connect 1.1. The new version improves and simplifies the installation, discovery, management and monitoring of StorNext environments. It offers the ability to integrate management and reporting within a multi-tier storage environment.
StorNext Connect users can have a unified view of the totality of multi-level, end-to-end workflow in storage environments, including disk, tape, object storage, and cloud resources.
Among the main features is an intuitive dashboard that describes the current state of the environment, including information about all resources (storage, CPU, memory and network interconnections).
It also features simultaneous display of multiple performance parameters over the same time period to help users locate and fix performance bottlenecks; has a self-guiding interface for the installation and configuration of the Xcellis workflow storage system.
