The BOSCH EN1243 uses Inovonics EchoStream wireless technology to provide smoke and heat detection. The detector internally includes a siren for an intermediate alarm notification, and a fully monitored transmitter that helps ensure reliable operation.
The detector/transmitter features the Inovonics EchoStream platform as well as GE Inerlogix CleanMe technology. This platform sends redundant information over several multi-frequency channels within the 900 MHz band of the FCC Part 15 standard, which gives a greater range and more reliability.
Similarly, it includes a disposable optical locking camera that allows cleaning on site. The EN1243 has two batteries, which give up to five years of operation.
