This new version of the management program built into the NAS, such as firmware version 3.4, improves several key aspects of QNAP Turbo NAS drives, allowing owners to generate new backups, protect data, networks, applications and management programs.
Enhancements to version 3.4 include a new RAID 10 that combines the advantages of RAID 0 and RAID 1 and allows one RAID 1 disk of each pair to fail, new advanced folder permissions configuring access control with greater security, and virtual LAN support that integrates the NAS into an existing VLAN and allows you to configure the NAS as a storage system for other VLAN devices.
On top of everything, the firmware has a new remote access to MyCloudNAS – MyCloudNAS, free integrated DNS services that provides users with the ability to register a unique domain name for their NAS by quickly accessing it over the Internet.
