The provider of LiDAR sensors (detection and measurement by light waves) and intelligent perception solutions, Quanergy Systems, in partnership with Genetec, present the first commercial integration of 3D LiDAR solutions powered by artificial intelligence with Genetec's unified security platform Security Center, to offer an integrated solution for the management of advanced people flow and occupation in smart spaces, as well as increased threat detection and surveillance in high-security environments.
This high-performance solution enables use in several specialized Security Center modules, including Restricted Security Areas (RSAs), Passenger Flow Analysis (PSA), and Occupancy Management Package to help automate security applications, people counting, and social distancing.
The solution offers more than 98% detection accuracy, significantly higher than that of a camera-based system; significantly reduces false alarms typical of camera systems due to its advanced ability to detect, track and classify objects; and has a total cost of ownership of between 5 and 20 times that of camera systems due to 360-degree coverage and range of 40 to 70 meters. A single sensor can cover areas of 8,000 m2.
It is a suitable solution for a wide variety of industrial applications from transit systems, airports and industrial facilities to public service businesses, including banks and retailers.
