CommScope has expanded the family of its Energized Fiber Optic Cable System, launching a 60 Watts PoE (Power Over Ethernet) single-port extender that exceeds the power levels of the IEEE 802.3at standard, allowing up to 60W of power to be delivered.
This single-port device is sometimes referred to as High PoE by manufacturers, and its applications include everything from HD PTZ security cameras with heating block elements, and other devices that require more power than the current PoE standard allows.
This new unit incorporates all the great features of single and dual port PoE extenders, including:
Multiple stages of electrical protection, complying with ITU K.45 electrical augmentation standards to help protect them against lightning, EMI, surges and other electrical events.
Likewise, IP67 environmental protection and fiber/copper hybrid fiber termination and automatic voltage correction using our patented DC/DC conversion circuit, which implies zero electrical calculations.
