Axis Communications launched a line of cameras aimed at the protection of buildings or commercial premises and that will be available for the second half of 2011. Ip fixed domes are designed to withstand impacts and protect themselves from the sun's rays and can withstand temperatures from 50º to -20ºC.

The M31-VE line is powered by Power over Ethernet and incorporates an alarm that fires when it detects attempts at unauthorized manipulation of the camera or when they cover or paint the target.

Of this series of cameras, the M3114-VE model supports high-definition video at 720p and has a resolution of up to 1 megapixel, while the M3113-VE model offers an SVGA resolution.
