Panda Security's innovative cloud security solutions, The Cloud Security Company, have received the Business Innovation Award granted by the Spanish economic newspaper Cinco Días, belonging to the Prisa group. The jury of the awards, chaired by Emilio Ontiveros, founder and president of International Financial Analysts, after analyzing more than 800 candidatures submitted, reached the verdict unanimously by considering Panda Security "as the most innovative project in the field of new technologies".
The solutions that offer maximum protection with the minimum consumption of resources for both home users (Panda Cloud Antivirus) and corporate users (Panda Cloud Protection), and that are based on the innovative Collective Intelligence system (capable of facing the more than 63,000 new malware specimens that are received daily offering protection practically in real time) have been distinguished not only because they are a great innovation in the field of security, but for having been developed entirely by the Panda team in Spain.
The Minister of Science and Innovation, Cristina Garmendia, presented the awards at the innovation gala held last Thursday, November 4 in Madrid (Spain), and stressed the importance for the reactivation of the world economy of the commitment of companies to research and development as an engine of innovation.
This is the third edition of some awards that emerged on the occasion of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the prestigious economic publication Cinco Días. They are sponsored by La Caixa and Repsol. On this occasion, together with Panda Security, BBVA has also been awarded, in the category of most innovative business initiative in corporate social responsibility, and Saft Baterías, for the most innovative business action linked to the university for an R&D project for the development of new energy storage technologies.

This award is added to a list of awards that the company is reaping this year in different countries of the world. The last one, which Juan Santana, CEO of the company, has collected on November 3 in San Francisco (US), has been awarded by wall Street Journal asRunner Up in the Technological Innovation Awards, Security category, also to Panda Cloud Antivirus.
