Content... More than 24 million of the company's accounts have been hacked from the Zappos online store, owned by Amazon, although there are no bank details among the stolen data.

Zappos, an online store of shoes, clothing and accessories has confirmed that it has been the victim of a computer attack and that more than 24 million customers have been affected. There would have been the theft of personal data of the same (emails, billing address, but not credit card data).

The company (whose site is disabled at the moment) has not been slow to ask its customers to reset the passwords, urging them to insert a new one to protect the accounts and has put in the hands of the authorities the investigation of the "painful" case.

Security experts believe that the data that has been accessed will be used for mass spamming, and that attackers could sell it for this purpose.

The hackers had access to the company's internal network through servers located in Kentucky, as reported by the CEO, Tony Hsieh, through a statement.
