Alfonso Flores, director of the group, warned that more than 60 percent of those who have lost a document have lost or stolen their wallet or purse and more than half of their bank cards.
The study also revealed that 23 percent of the population provides personal data on social networks, 11 percent do so by phone, despite being unknown people; while 16 percent of people send sensitive information, such as passwords and passwords to their accounts and cards, via email.
Another way is to pay with a card, as 27 percent of Mexicans neglect their plastic, a moment that can be used to obtain the cardholder's data.
"With this personal information, criminals can open bank accounts, apply for loans and finance vehicles, usurping the identity of another person, in addition to buying goods and services or establishing contracts such as mobile phones and rental homes in their name," the executive warned.
To avoid this type of fraud, he recommended not throwing personal information in the trash, without previously destroying it, not revealing personal data in phone calls from strangers, not losing sight of the card and using secure and complex passwords.
