20/01/2011 María Elena Barrera Tapia, municipal president of Toluca, announced that the city council of the demarcation will invest around 15 million pesos to strengthen the security of Toluqueños
He said that with this budget the acquisition of 22 new patrols and 25 security cameras will be installed as part of the "Traffic Light Control Center" program, which will have 25 new surveillance cameras with state-of-the-art technology and will be completed in a period of 45 days, for which 5.5 million pesos were allocated; the installation of the cameras is in addition to the 11 with which we are currently working on traffic monitoring in Toluca, and at the end of 2011 it is intended to count a total of 71.
Through the Directorate of Public Security and governance, the official delivery of 12 Jeep Patriot units was made, whose cost was 4 million 429 thousand 800 pesos; 5 Van type vans, with an investment of 2 million 550 thousand pesos; 5 sedan-type cars and one thousand 500 jackets with a value of one million 808 thousand 960 pesos and 900 thousand pesos, respectively.
The mayor was accompanied by Sergio Sixto Noguez Lavat, director of Public Security and the Interior, as well as José Luis Velasco Lino, federal deputy.
