Panda Antivirus Pro 2011, a solution in panda Security's Consumer range -The Cloud Security Company-, has been distinguished with the Advanced+ award by winning the last on-demand test, carried out by AV-comparatives.org, which sought to measure the detection rates of the so-called Potentially Unwanted Programs, a category that includes, among others, spyware, spyware adware and rogueware or fake antivirus.
In the test carried out, the prestigious independent safety laboratory AV-comparatives.org launched a battery of 82,036 copies against each of the solutions. Panda proved its effectiveness against this type of threat by detecting 99.9% of all of them.

According to the 2010 Annual Report of PandaLabs, the anti-malware laboratory of Panda Security, the categories included in the name Potentially Dangerous Programs represent about 11% of the total of the more than 20 million different threats that have appeared last year and that have been classified by Collective Intelligence.
