Interview with Anonymous (from the attacks on RAE, MPAA and RIAA)

In recent weeks I have been investigating the DDoS attack carried out by Anonymous against several global audiovisual organizations. This small but noisy internet community launched a campaign of attacks called "Operation Payback," with targeted Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks against companies and institutions that support the anti-piracy lobby.

The attack, sparked by a similar attack carried out by an Indian company against file-sharing websites, caused Anonymous organizers to go virtually crazy with outrage. After following his communications over the past few weeks, the scene from the 1976 movie Network came to mind, in which Peter Finch makes everyone look out the window shouting I'm so and I'm not going to put up with this anymore!

Call-to-action pamphlets (such as those in the images below) were distributed around the world and in different languages. Sites like Reddit, Digg, 4chan, and Twitter were used to encourage thousands of people to join the cause, rise up, and attack the anti-piracy lobby.
