Bosch innovates with its B Series Intrusion Panels

altLatin America. Bosch Safety Systems has added new features to its B Series Control Panels, making them even easier to use and maintain. With firmware 2.01, the panels offer improved text and email alerts, more extensive language capabilities, and remote firmware updates to peripheral devices.

Users can now use the Series B Control Panel by incorporating an Ethernet connection to send email or text alerts for system events. With this capability, a cellular connection is no longer required for these alerts, reducing costs for the user. In addition, usernames, period names, and area names are included in notifications to make them easier to understand.

The new firmware also adds French and Portuguese languages, in addition to English and Spanish. Customers can select two languages per system and choose the one they want to display for each keyboard or for each user. Alerts for text messages and email can also be displayed in the language selected by the user to simplify the operation.

In addition, technicians can now update firmware on keyboards or other SDI2 devices using the company's Remote Firmware Update Software Programming Assistant. This allows feature updates to be added to peripheral devices via the local USB port, Ethernet, or cellular connections, which can eliminate costly service calls.

These new features further enhance the B Series Control Panels, these modern devices feature an IP communication function and a free app for mobile operation. These are the first control panels compatible with IPv4 and IPv6, which feature an on-board USB connection and plug-in communication modules to facilitate the adoption of new technologies. DNS support for remote access and central station communications that allow simple IP configuration, without complicated programming tools and do not force the customer to enroll in virtual monitoring centers that entail additional costs.

The B Series includes three models that meet the needs of a wide variety of installation configurations. The B5512 supports 48 protection points and four areas, the B4512 controls 28 protection points and two areas and the B3512 controls up to 16 points. This Series is ideal for retail stores, banks, office buildings, public offices, schools, and many other commercial and residential applications.
