Mexico. Synology, a company that develops the most advanced network storage servers, presents the latest version of its video surveillance package, Surveillance Station, which includes the Central Management System (CMS) to provide scalable and adequate management for large projects.
"This version has been released after a 50-day beta testing period. It generated a lot of excitement among our users, registered almost 20,000 downloads, and they have helped us fine-tune our Surveillance Station so that we can meet the high standards of users," said Vic Hsu, CEO of Synology Inc.
Ensuring the security of a building, shopping mall, station, etc. requires an extraordinary team of cameras and recording servers. It is crucial for IT managers to have a reliable, scalable and unified control point in their system. The CMS has been designed to respond especially to these needs.
All the possibilities and features of Surveillance Station, such as viewing live images and recordings, performing intelligent video analysis, providing privileges for users, configuring the cameras with their respective licenses, receiving notifications or using e-maps, are centralized in the CMS for efficient management. This unified management offers different benefits. For example, cameras can be filtered according to different criteria, offering a quick search experience. They can also move from one server to another without problems.
This latest version of Surveillance Station will be compatible with cloud cameras and more standards. Thanks to the recent acquisition of the ONVIF Profile S certificate, a wider range of devices can operate with Surveillance Station. The compatibility list has been expanded and now includes more than 1,400 IP cameras from 58 different brands.
Surveillance Station is free to download. It is now available in the Package Center for DiskSation Manager.
