International. Bosch Security Systems continues its tradition of innovation in intrusion detection with the introduction of the Commercial Series family of motion detectors "Commercial series".
The new family expands the Bosch portfolio of wall-mount motion detectors, which currently includes Blue Line Gen2 for residential and small business applications and the Professional Series covering from medium to large commercial environments. With the new Commercial Series, Bosch again exceeds expectations in intrusion detection, delivering the perfect mix of price and performance for small and medium-sized commercial applications. Like the rest of the portfolio, the new detectors provide an excellent level of detection, minimize false alarms and offer unique features to accurately and reliably ensure performance while significantly reducing installation time and complexity.
Excellent capture performance
The Commercial Series detects wall-to-wall intruders with a wide coverage range of 15 x 15 meters (50 x 50 feet). Unique technological features include sophisticated "First Step" processing, which offers an immediate response to an intruder's first step.
Dynamic temperature compensation also ensures detection at almost any temperature, providing optimal performance regardless of room conditions. Active infrared Anti-Masking detects materials that are sprayed or placed in front of the detector. The sensitivity is adjustable with the touch of a switch to provide the necessary flexibility and adapt to a variety of commercial environments while reducing the number of models integrators need to keep in inventory.
Rigorous tests ensure a level of detection that exceeds the regulations of any country and thus comply with standards around the world.
Immunity from false alarms
When tested against triggering common false alarms under regulatory protocols, the Commercial Series reduces false alarms by more than 35 percent over third-party detectors. The superior design of the optics and electronics of the Motion Detectors of the Commercial Series ensure the best possible signal quality.
This allows the use of the advanced first-pass processing algorithm for more accurate alarm determinations compared to traditional motion pulse count detectors. In addition, adaptive microwave noise processing adjusts to background incidents, such as a ceiling fan or hanging sign, to easily differentiate humans from false alarm sources. The sealed optical camera prevents drafts and insects from affecting the detector. These detectors also feature the immunity of small animals up to 4.5 kilograms (10 pounds).
Faster to install
With installation time that is 43 percent faster than the average for traditional third-party detectors, commercial series motion detectors improve technician efficiency and minimize installation errors to ensure reliable performance.
Designed to eliminate service calls and reduce false alarms, the new integrated end-of-line resistors simplify wiring requirements while the installation angle of the terminal strip prevents incorrect wiring. The self-secured two-piece housing with integrated biaxial bubble level ensure faster and easier assembly.
In addition, its flexible mounting height allows detectors that are placed from 2.3 to 2.75 meters (7.5 to 9 feet) to need no adjustment.
Multiple models
Two detector models are available for a variety of applications. The TriTech motion detector certified for EN50131-2-4 Grade 2 meets the needs of a wide range of commercial applications. It uses a combination of passive infrared (PIR) and microwave technology that uses Doppler radar detection along with "First Step" processing. For high-security applications, the TriTech+ motion detector, certified for EN50131-2-4 Grade 3 with Anti-masking features higher sensitivity and anti-masking capabilities to detect materials being placed in front of it or sprayed onto the detector. Both models offer selectable sensitivity and LED visibility, as well as a range of adjustable Doppler radar microwaves to reduce false alarms.
