ISONAS announced access control integration with Genetec

International. It was recently announced that ISONAS and Genetec have established a technological integration that will take the access control market to the next level. Users will be able to pair the simplicity of ISONAS Pure IP hardware with the enterprise functionality of the Genetec Security Center unified security platform.

This way they will give customers the power of choice in access control software solutions. Security Center's open architecture unifies IP-based video surveillance, access control, and automatic license plate recognition (ALPR), allowing customers to manage their platform from a single interface.

With the unveiling of its software development kit last fall, which provides a path for third-party software integrations with ISONAS hardware; ISONAS has had a strong impact on the migration of the access control market to network-driven Pure IP ™ hardware. As a testament to this commitment, the collaboration with Genetec will enable customers to select best-in-class software and link it to the next evolution in access control; the ISONAS Pure IP ™ hardware family. The RC-04 family revolutionizes ease of installation and the powerful addition of Bluetooth (R) Low Energy (BLE) makes access control simple by allowing the use of a smartphone as a user credential.

"The Synergis Security Center access control system offers customers great flexibility to choose the hardware that best suits their organization's unique physical security needs," said François Brouillet, Product Manager, Access Control, Genetec. "Because Security Center Synergis is based on an open architecture, we can extend support for ISONAS IP to the RC-04 gateway hardware. ISONAS is a valuable technology partner," Brouillet added.

"We are pleased to announce our new partnership with Genetec, a global leader in access control and video, and look forward to a powerful integration. This integration proliferates ISONAS hardware as the de facto standard for access control," states Melissa Stenger, vice president of product management and marketing at ISONAS. Genetec has been a great partner and we look forward to delivering a positive product experience to our customers in the future."

In recent years, ISONAS has been committed to developing powerful integrations and offering customers the opportunity to use Pure IP ™ hardware with any software, specifically with like-minded open architecture firms like Genetec.
