Launch dual-channel multidirectional camera

Latin America. Hanwha Techwin announced the launch of the PNM-7000VD, a multidirectional camera with the capability of two surveillance cameras in a single body.

Last year the company launched the PNM-9081VQ, a four-channel multidirectional camera that allows for a 360-degree surveillance range. Thanks to the numerous positive responses received from the United States and other countries, Hanwha Techwin launched another version, the PNM-7000VD, to strengthen its product line.

The most prominent feature of this new product is its ability to simultaneously monitor two areas from various angles by installing two camera lenses in a surveillance camera, which avoids the installation of several cameras in the corners of buildings.

The selection of adaptable fixed lenses at the installation site includes 2.4, 2.8, 3.6 and 6 mm lenses, depending on the desired direction and angle of view. If two 2.4 mm lenses are installed, it is possible to achieve monitoring of up to 270 degrees, which is ideal for the surveillance of large spaces such as parks, parking lots and shopping centers.

In addition, the Full HD video function allows for clear and crisp monitoring. The offering includes a wide range of intelligent video analytics tools, such as intrusion detection and motion detection, which help users respond quickly in the event of an incident. The alarm quickly notifies the user about an intrusion, which is detected from virtual lines specified in strategic locations, such as the main entrance.

With the new PNM-7000VD, installation and management are also easier and more practical. Users now only need to install and manage a single surveillance camera instead of multiple cameras to monitor various angles in the corners.

For Alex Pazos, sales and SAE director of Hanwha Techwin for Latin America, "the main feature of our new two-channel multidirectional camera is the monitoring of several angles with a single compact CCTV. The global video security market has responded well to multidirectional cameras that can process the same workload as multiple cameras." "We will continue to lead the global security market and launch products that meet a wide variety of consumer needs, employing optical and auxiliary integrated circuit (chipset) technologies that we have been developing for more than 30 years," he added.
