During the Trophées des Cartes Innovante 2017, card innovation award, IDEMIA and CB professionals received the trophy for the most innovative technology in the category "Security - Identification - Authentication" with the F.CODE Comfort biometric payment card, from IDEMIA, a global leader in secure identities.
Based on the number of contactless card transactions, which continues to grow, IDEMIA has created the F.CODE Comfort, which uses biometric digital printouts to identify its holder. The card is equipped with integrated digital print reader and provides instant authentication on every payment.
In addition, the technology ensures security and alleviates customers' potential fears about contactless payment. "The authentication generated by digital printing allows cardholders to make transactions without the need for another platform other than the card itself. In terms of practicality, the system stimulates the frequent use of technology, increasing the number of payments," explains Eric Duforest, Executive Vice President of Activities in Financial Institutions at IDEMIA.
