Johnson Controls Introduces Visitor Management terminal and CCURE

Latin America. Johnson Controls introduces the self-service application (kiosk) for visitor control as a key component of the C•CURE 9000 security and event management platform  and optional individual offerings through the C•CURE portal. These new releases allow you to automatically generate and assign temporary credentials to visitors and customize access control workflows for more efficient management of credential access requests.

With the latest version of C•CURE 9000, renowned highly flexible platform and compatible with many integrations, visitors can register using the new visitor management terminal application for iPad (kiosk). This way, they can search for their scheduled appointments by entering their name or email address and the name of the person they are going to meet in the dedicated fields of the app. Once C•CURE 9000 confirms the visit and a credential is issued, a temporary identification card or label can be printed from the C•CURE 9000 client. At the same time, an email notification is sent to the host to let them know that their visitor has arrived.

"The visitor management features of the C•CURE 9000 kiosk terminal and access management flows, all available through the C•CURE Portal, optimize and simplify daily operations," explains Luis Delcampo, Market and Product Manager at Johnson Controls. "The kiosk terminal effectively manages visitors even when entry table security personnel are not available. Security personnel can use customizable web-based access management workflows to automate and distribute access request management and initiate changes to clearences."

Through custom rules and workflows, request and/or approval roles can be assigned to personnel records and authorization requests processed. Authorization requests can be approved or denied by designated approvers without having to add operator accounts to C•CURE 9000, so that administrative tasks can be moved from security personnel to people in the building to drive operational efficiency. Specific doors can also be configured to start an access authorization request workflow automatically based on how many times an access card was rejected at the time of entry. The C•CURE Portal creates an audit trail that documents all access requests and authorizations, which is key to facilitating compliance control.
