Axis Communications strengthens partnership with Canon

Latin America. Axis Communications and Canon Inc have announced an agreement whereby both companies have decided to change their sales and marketing strategy in the world's main regional markets, so that in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Axis will be responsible for the marketing and sales operations of Canon's entire portfolio of network video surveillance solutions and equipment.

Faced with a rapidly growing and potential market, Canon Inc, acquired Axis Communications in 2015 with the aim of offering video surveillance solutions adapted to the needs of each sector with state-of-the-art imaging technologies. Under the terms of the purchase, Axis is now a legal entity independent of the Canon group, keeping its brand on the market, as well as its headquarters located in the city of Lund (Sweden). Development centers and sales offices distributed in 50 countries of the world were also maintained.
