Latin America. Paxton has announced the integration of its network access control system, Net2, with Milestone Systems. The integration allows the user to deploy access control events and monitor video surveillance cameras from Milestone's XProtect Smart Client.
Paxton has developed a connector using Milestone's 2016 MIP SDK, which can be added to the Milestone XProtec (VMS) by linking Paxton's Net2 access control information to Milestone's XProtect Smart Client interface.
The integration associates cameras with doors and displays real-time video scenes such as video events and access alarms occurring. The software can be configured so that notifications appear instantly to get the operator's attention for an event of interest. Doors can be locked or unlocked directly from the XProtect Smart Client interface, where user information and events can be displayed to give the operator complete visibility on who is accessing the areas through the site.
