Tyco Security Products introduces the latest version of Kantech's EntraPass security software, which incorporates integration with Assa Abloy Aperio® wireless lock technology for increased door density and reduced wiring costs. The company also announced new features in its Connected Program to enable integration with third-party technologies to achieve a more comprehensive solution.
EntraPass' integration with Assa Abloy Aperio wireless lock technologies gives customers an economical way to easily integrate wireless locks into any door, from cabinets and drawers to server racks, with almost no operational disruption. Aperio locks become part of the EntraPass security software ecosystem and can be managed from the EntraPass interface for a unified security management experience. Access control decisions on these locks will continue to be handled by Kantech's state-of-the-art reliable controllers. Wireless locks are ideal for university environments, pharmacies, hospitals, human resources departments, data centers, and any other door for which electronic access control used to have prohibitive costs.
In addition, Kantech joins Tyco Security Products' Connected Program, which enables the development of third-party integrations using Kantech's Software Development Kit (SDK). In this way, third-party technology interacts with EntraPass and obtains important information, such as events or card users, directly from EntraPass.

This version of the software also incorporates additional features, such as a redundancy gateway for increased fault tolerance capability. In addition, the EntraPass Go mobile app now has optimized reporting options and the EntraPass Web client offers more customization possibilities.
