Colombia. The migration of analog devices to IP is one of the needs posed by the new technological needs that aim to increase the security of different spaces. And to talk about the different benefits that IP platforms offer for users (profitability, savings, reduced risks, flexibility and less interference, among others), the company NVT Phybridge will join the firms that will exhibit at the next version of the international security fair E + S + S (Bogotá between August 16 and 19, 2016).
As for the region, experts point out that the Colombian market is one of the main ones in Latin America, given that it is a country in which electronic security has a strong presence and where the most innovative technologies of this industry can be adopted quickly.
This is stated by Jaime Trujillo (Sales Manager of NVT Phybridge for the Andean Region and Central America), who adds that in Latin America there is a large base of analog video surveillance systems installed, some of them through coaxial cable and others with twisted pair or UTP cable. "It is for this reason that it is necessary to have solutions that allow you to take advantage of this infrastructure when you think about migrating to IP, regardless of the type of cable you have," says Trujillo.
Likewise, the expert points out that -in general terms- both the Colombian and Latin American markets are very sensitive to the price of the solutions offered to them, since end customers want to obtain the best tools, at the lowest possible price. It cannot be ignored that by taking advantage of an infrastructure already installed and that is in good condition, the savings for the integrator and the user can be significant, allowing the migration processes to IP to be economically much more viable and that, if required, they can be executed in stages and taking into account the needs of each end customer.
Regarding this issue, Trujillo adds that the possibility of taking advantage of an existing asset of the company opens a unique opportunity to upgrade its security and voice systems towards IP technology easily, quickly and efficiently.
Given that the E+S+S fair is the main security event for the Andean Region, all the companies in the industry consider it very important to be present at this meeting to be able to show the new developments and get in touch with the integrators and end users who will attend. NVT Phybridge is no exception and has been present since the first editions and considers it essential to continue participating in this meeting.
In its attendance last year, this company introduced cleer and PoLRE switches to the Latin American market. For this new version of E+S+S has prepared the launch of the third line of FLEX switches, which allows to make links of 100Mbps full duplex with PoE++ power (up to 50W per channel) using UTP cable Cat5 or higher and being able to reach up to 500 meters for each link.
In addition, by being able to reach five times the maximum distance of a conventional switch, integrators will be able to have significant savings in the infrastructure of their data networks, which will make their proposals more competitive with respect to the solutions they have been using until now.
"Visitors will be able to see, first-hand, the SWITCHES of the CHARIoT series and will have the possibility to check their performance when using different types of cable (coaxial, twisted pair or UTP), with extended distances. Since they are solutions that exceed some already established standards, it is often necessary to see them in operation to confirm that their performance is really exceptional", confirms Jaime Trujillo.
Although migrating to IP is a growing need among end users, the costs related to structural changes make these projects unfeasible. NVT Phybridge invites attendees to learn how to take this step using the existing wiring, for this it will be available at stand #403A where it will offer all the commercial and technical advice required for each project.
