Easing the transition from analog systems to systems on IP networks is now easier

Latin America. Genetec began offering the new turnkey version of its SV-32 v2 Network Security Device. This device is immediately available to certified members of the Genetec™ Business Partner Program and end users around the world. The SV-32 v2 is a turnkey solution that enables organizations to install a unified or independent video surveillance and analog/IP access control system, while allowing them to maintain their existing analog infrastructure investments.

The SV-32 v2 has built-in analog encoding cards, and offers a cost-effective solution for integrating existing analog cameras as part of a transition to IP program. This device comes with Genetec's™ Security Center platform pre-installed, and the S-32 v2 allows the consolidation of multiple remote sites into a single security environment, while supporting a wide variety of IP cameras that can be used over the years without obsolescence problems, and door controllers that adapt to various installation needs.

This device is ideal for those organizations that have already made a large investment in analog cameras over the years, such as the banking and retail industry. The SV-32 v2 can support up to 32 analog or IP cameras, and 100 Access Control readers in each unit.

E SV-32 v2 also serves a dual function as a client workstation, providing a unified view of video surveillance events and access control with up to two monitors, allowing operators to respond quickly to any incident. A powerful search engine and reporting tools help speed up investigations. Operators can verify cardholder photos with recorded or live video associated with access control events at the gates that are part of the system, and automatically activate alarms that are triggered by video or access control events.

Using the Security Center Mobile app, SV-32 v2 users can view their systems and receive real-time alarms on their Android, Apple, and Windows Phone devices, no matter where they are. Security personnel can also view live and recorded video, control PTZ cameras, lock and unlock doors, and receive alarm and access control events in real time, expanding the ability to react to incidents efficiently.

Leveraging the capabilities of security center federation™, the SV-32 v2 allows customers to quickly install security center video surveillance and/or access control systems across distributed sites, making it easy to monitor multiple sites and centralize security operations.
