Low-cost cameras with tripled warranty reach the regional market

Colombia. Axis Communications extended the warranty period for new releases on its line of more affordable cameras: the M line. Instead of one year, the models will be released with a 3-year warranty. In this way, equipment that presents defects in the first 36 months of use, will have free technical assistance for repair or complete replacement.

The first cameras to hit the market with this extended warranty are three M30 series mini domes, ideal for use in shops, restaurants, offices, hotels and schools. All three models, M3044-V, M3045-V and M3046-V underwent rigorous quality testing and offer high reliability.

Reinforcing the resistance for greater durability, the new models of the M30 series withstand even acts of vandalism. They also possess WDR technology to deal with a large variation of light and Zipstream technology to reduce bandwidth and storage by 50% on average. The cameras can be easily installed, as they are powered by the same network cable and come from the factory with the focus already adjusted.

According to Andrei Junqueira, sales manager at Axis, the choice of reliable and highly durable products is essential in video surveillance. "When a video surveillance system disappoints the customer in the early years, the total cost ends up being much higher: maintenance makes the project more expensive, the customer loses confidence in their supplier and, when the image is needed, it is not available with the expected quality. This extension of the three-year warranty reflects Axis' confidence in its new entry-level products, having carried out extensive testing and demonstrated high reliability of the new models."
