New Level One Switches for Data Centers

Mexico. Key Business Process Solutions, presents to the Mexican market the new range of high-performance switches that Level One recently launched within its varied repertoire of solutions for the market.

Level One is identified by its offering of high-quality connectivity products and solutions.  Its 4 new models can be easily implemented in solutions with a high demand for resources.

A switch is a device designed to solve performance problems in the network, due to small bandwidths and traffic jams.  The switch can add more bandwidth, speed up packet output, reduce wait time, and lower the cost per port.  In such a way that it economically segments the network within small collision domains, obtaining a high percentage of bandwidth for each final station.

Level One's GTL-2890 offers 24 10/100/1000 Mbps ports and 4 fixed 10 Gbps SFP ports. Designed for data center deployments, it provides fast, seamless transfers at the center for access switches or DSLMs.

With great traffic management and broadcast control, the GTL-2890 is an ideal choice for the distribution layer or aggregation of large networks, providing long distance fiber connections.

  • 10-Gigabit IPv6 Ethernet Layer 3 managed switch
  • Compatible for most applications at the core of the network
  • It complies with IPv6 Phase II certification, as well as RoHS, CE and FCC standards.
  • Level One's GEL-2460 model is a 24-Port, cable speed layer 2, gigabit smart managed switch.  It offers 24 auto-negotiation 10/100/1000M ports with SFP 2 combo ports.  All RJ-45 ports support auto MDI/MDI-X.

It offers non-blocking performance at cable speed on all ports, making it ideal for use at the core of large networks, in data centers, and high-traffic areas such as libraries.

  • Operates in both port speed and duplex mode
  • With self-negotiation to improve operability
  • Compatible with jumbo frames, up to a maximum frame size of 1518-9600 bytes
  • Store/Forwarding switching and SNMP

Level One's GTL-2060 is a high-performance managed Gigabit Ethernet L2 switch.  It offers 8 ports of 10/100/1000 Mbps and 12 10Gbps SFP fixed.

It has software features that allow compatibility with most applications.  The switch acts as an onboarding point within a network, connected to the central switch.  Designed for high-volume environments such as data centers, government facilities, and large enterprises.

  • 256 Gbps capacity and a packet forwarding rate of 185 MPPS
  • 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 12 10-Gigabit SFP+ slots
  • IEEE 802.1d/w/s Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) and Port Mirroring
  • Multicast IP filtering via IGMP V1/ V2/ V3 inquiry
