Latin America. Axis Communications has developed a tool to facilitate the design of complete surveillance solutions for small and medium-sized installations. The tool, called Axis Site Designer, allows integrators and installers to generate presentations with two-dimensional graphics of high visual impact so that customers know exactly what to expect from their projects.
Free, axis Site Designer web tool is Axis' latest proposal to boost the digital video surveillance market. Creator of the IP camera, Axis conducts monthly courses on the fundamentals of network video and promotes education events to develop the sector. With the new tool, channels will be able to save time by specifying products for sites with up to 100 cameras, giving the project a professional look with minimal effort.
The application has a selection of templates for common installation scenarios. A visual selector recommends cameras based on operational demands such as required resolution, camera coverage, and light conditions. It is easy to find the right stands and other accessories for any camera, as the tool only features compatible components. A storage calculator provides recommendations for suitable recording solutions based on typical scenarios. Finally, the tool produces a complete bill of materials that includes all the components in the system.
AXIS Site Designer works on and offline. It is ideal for quick and easy system design using tablets or laptops, even without an Internet connection.
